Company Information

CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion is the direct service provider for various workforce programs supported by the U.S. Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and other agencies as part of awards totaling $6.9 million for FY24 (revised annually). Unless otherwise stipulated, all statements, press releases, requests for proposals, bid solicitations, and other documents are fully funded with federal money.

CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, formerly Workforce Connection, is one of nearly 600 business-led workforce investment boards created by the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998. The workforce investment system, which now operates under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) of 2014, covers all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the United States Territories. In Florida, there are 24 Area Workforce Development Boards (21 effective July 1, 2024) which oversee and coordinate services through a network of nearly 100 career centers, including centers in Citrus, Levy and Marion counties. CareerSource CLM’s administrative office is located at the Career Center in Ocala, 2703 NE 14th St.

In February 2014, Florida’s workforce system launched a single, statewide unified brand to better align the state workforce investment board, regional workforce boards and career centers. Developed by those who work within Florida’s workforce system and guided by those the system serves, the common brand is designed to provide consistent, seamless services throughout the state. At the same time, workforce areas continue to offer customized services to meet the unique needs of businesses and job seekers in our communities. Learn about the unified brand.

Services such as career counseling, workshops and job placement are available, at no charge, at career centers in Chiefland, Lecanto and Ocala as well as our affiliate Talent Center in partnership with the College of Central Florida. The Talent Center is our Professional Services Career Center located on CF’s Ocala campus. Services are also available through CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion’s mobile career center; community workshops and placement services are offered at area library branches, community centers and colleges.

CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion has been recognized as a demand-driven workforce board by the National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) and the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration for efforts to define its mission in relation to the demands of the business communities it serves.
