CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion is made up of a dedicated team of professionals with one goal in mind: connecting businesses with well-qualified job candidates.
CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion is the region’s recognized workforce leader and part of the unified CareerSource Florida workforce system. We collaborate with local economic development, education and community partners to develop world-class education/training and employment services to meet regional workforce needs.
CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, formerly Workforce Connection, is one of Florida’s 21 regions dedicated to putting people to work and helping businesses stay competitive.
Our mission goes beyond traditional workforce development. Through strategic collaboration with civic and community leaders, economic development organizations, and education and public partners we strive to create a lasting impact on the lives of those who call this region home.
Last year, CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion provided services to more than 19,000 candidates and nearly 900 businesses. Our not-for-profit, business-led board sets policy and oversees more than $15.4 million in grants (revised annually) and other funds that support the workforce mission.

WHAT DOES CAREERSOURCE CITRUS LEVY MARION DO?
CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion is a nonprofit organization working to connect candidates and businesses in the three-county region we serve. Services are provided at no cost to our customers and we assist everyone from entry-level to professional job seekers to gain the skills they need to find gainful employment while coordinating with employers in Citrus, Levy and Marion counties to ensure they can find, hire, and train their workforce.
ARE YOUR CAREER CENTERS THE SAME AS THE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE?
No. Each CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion Career Center is a one-stop destination to find a variety of services to assist job candidates under one roof. Though the staff at our Career Centers can help you connect with the FloridaCommerce’s Reemployment Assistance Office (formerly the unemployment compensation office) to file a claim, we are not the unemployment office.
IS CAREERSOURCE CITRUS LEVY MARION THE SAME AS DCF?
No. Even though we partner with DCF on programs like food stamps (SNAP) and Temporary Cash Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), we are not the same entity and we cannot answer specific inquiries about these services.
CAN YOU HELP ME WITH TRAINING FOR A NEW CAREER?
Very possibly. CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion can assist with funding for training to prepare you for targeted occupations through the WIOA program. Individuals who are not working or employed in low-wage jobs might be eligible for tuition assistance and academic support services through CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion. The primary focus of the WIOA program is the attainment of certificates or degrees of value in the labor market leading to a job in high demand occupations, and emerging industries.
