OCALA, Fla. (April 3, 2023) – April brings more than showers for May flowers – it brings a shower of job opportunities throughout the CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion region, including scores of openings at the World Equestrian Center, Marion County Public Schools, and myriad other area businesses.

Transition Live Center will hold a hiring event on Friday, April 7 from 1-3 p.m. at CareerSource CLM’s Marion County Career Center, 2703 NE 14th St., in Ocala. TLC is hiring to fill multiple positions for Direct Support Professional and Instructional Assistant, Adult Special Needs Instructor, and Program Manager/Special Needs. World Equestrian Center’s hiring event takes place April 10-12 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Expo Center 1. WEC’s main entrance is 1750 NW 80th Ave., in Ocala but candidates may prefer to access by turning onto Northwest 87th Court Road from State Road 40. During the three-day hiring event, WEC will be recruiting to fill more than 50 positions from golf cart attendants and guest service agents to purchasing coordinators and security officers to facilities supervisors and sous chefs. Marion County Public Schools, in collaboration with CareerSource CLM, will hold a Career Fair on Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at World Equestrian Center Expo Center 2. The school district is filling dozens of immediate positions as well as those for the upcoming school year. Marion County Youth Job Fair, held in partnership with MCPS, will take place on Thursday, April 27 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Southeastern Livestock Pavilion Auditorium, 2232 NE Jacksonville Road, in Ocala. There will also be a Levy County Youth Job Fair, in partnership with the School Board of Levy County, on May 4 from 10 a.m. to noon at the College of Central Florida Jack Wilkinson Levy Campus in Chiefland. Both annual job fairs are exclusively for 16-24-year-olds with little-to-no job experience looking for employment, whether full- or part-time, permanent, temporary, or just for the summer. Those interested in attending any of the upcoming hiring events and job fairs are encouraged to bring printed copies of their resumes and to dress appropriately – nothing that’s torn, revealing or with profane language; no shorts, flip-flops or slippers.
Skinner added that those who would like assistance preparing for any hiring event are invited to drop by any of CareerSource CLM’s career centers for fee-free employability services such as resume and interview assistance, training, job referrals and one-on-one career counseling.
