Anyone subjected to discrimination in the workplace or under a CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion program or activity may file a complaint within 180 days from the date of the alleged violation with either CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion’s Equal Opportunity Officer or with the United States Department of Labor’s Civil Rights Center at the following addresses:

If you have missed the 180-day deadline and believe you have good cause for filing late, you may request an extension from the director of the U.S. DOL’s civil rights center. You may also contact your local Equal Opportunity Officer for information about other complaint investigative authorities and their reporting deadlines.

If you have a complaint about CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, including a job you were sent to by CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion, or if you believe you have been wrongfully denied a benefit or service, your first step is to discuss the matter with the Career Center Manager.

You have the right to file a written grievance/complaint with CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion’s equal opportunity officer, Iris Pozo. Fraud/Waste/Abuse

FRAUD/WASTE/ABUSE

Allegations, suspicions and complaints involving possible fraud, program abuse, criminal misconduct and other illegal or improper activities must be submitted immediately to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity’s Office of the Inspector General. For Incident Report Procedures and Incident Report form visit DEO’s Office of the Inspector General.

Allegations judged to be of an emergency nature, and those receiving public exposure, should be reported immediately to the OIG by telephone at 850-245-7135. All telephone reports should be followed by prompt written or electronic notification to the OIG, using the Incident Report form of other suitable means. You may remain anonymous in the reporting.

It is illegal to punish whistleblowers or retaliate against any employee who reports suspected cases of fraud or abuse. No action will be taken against any complainant for disclosing information concerning improper activities or for making a valid complaint to proper authorities.
