OCALA, Fla. (Aug. 13, 2024) – CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion will hold a Citrus County Job Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 27 for anyone interested in finding a hot job in a cool career.
The job fair is free and open to any job seeker in the Citrus, Levy and Marion counties’ region. It takes place from 3-5 p.m. at the College of Central Florida’s Citrus County campus, 3800 S. Lecanto Hwy., in Lecanto.
To date, the following businesses plan to attend, all with immediate jobs to fill in positions ranging from entry-level to experienced: AutoZone, BluSky Group Management, Citrus County Board of County Commissioners, Citrus County Clerk of the Circuit Court, Citrus County School Board, Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, Culver’s (S&L Properties Inverness, LLC), Eckerd Connects, Florida Department of Corrections, Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Full Spectrum ABA, Key Training Center, PedIM Healthcare, Plantation Resort on Crystal River, Sevita, and Weber Glass, Inc.
“This job fair is the perfect place to be for anyone looking for good, gainful employment,” said Rusty Skinner, CareerSource CLM’s chief executive officer. “Businesses are hiring right now across a variety of industries including healthcare, hospitality, retail, human services, public services, and manufacturing.”
Skinner added that those planning to attend should bring printed copies of their resume, dress professionally, and be prepared for on-the-spot job interviews. For fastest access to the event, participants are encouraged to register ahead of time at bit.ly/CCJOBFAIR24.
Job candidates interested in updating their resume, preparing a 30-second “elevator speech” highlighting their skills and experience, and/or sharpening interview skills are invited to visit one of CareerSource CLM’s career centers for fee-free staff assistance. The centers are open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and are located at 683 S. Adolph Point, in Lecanto; 2175 NW 11th Dr., in Chiefland; and 2703 NE 14th St., in Ocala.
