OCALA, Fla. (Dec. 8, 2021) – Registration is now open for the 2022 Art of HR conference presented by the Ocala Human Resource Management Association (OHRMA) in partnership with CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion and the Mid-FL Regional Manufacturers Association (MRMA).
The conference takes place Jan. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the World Equestrian Center, 1390 NW 80th Ave., in Ocala.
The Art of HR features a full-day of in-person sessions designed to assist business leverage the value of their people, learn about the state of the workforce and key data to help build critical talent pipelines, understand the latest employment law and how it affects local businesses, and discover workplace best practices to recruit and retain employees.
“The information being presented by each of our amazing speakers is incredibly relevant in today’s times, not just for HR leaders, but for all leaders and business owners,” said Sarah Bland, OHRMA’s conference chair and HR manager for MARS Company.
In addition to “an invaluable number of tools and educational opportunities,” Bland said the conference will feature “many exhibitors that are ready and willing to help attendees with business solutions to meet their needs.”
Rusty Skinner, CEO of CareerSource CLM, said that “partnering with OHRMA allows us to collaborate on HR and workforce development issues of importance.”

The conference kicks off with nationally renowned keynote comedian and human experience leader, David Horning, who uses humor as a tool to get audiences thinking differently about the status quo, inspire them to come up with new ways to create a better experience of work, and make them laugh.
Presentations include highlights from the manufacturing wage and benefit survey CareerSource CLM conducted for MRMA in partnership with OHRMA.
“This conference is a continuation of the relationship developed working on the 2021 survey,” said Kathleen Betz, MRMA’s executive director. “We are very pleased to be part of this exciting event and to continue our collaboration.”
CareerSource CLM will also present the annual Bridging the Gap award recognizing a local business that has gone above and beyond to build the regional workforce by closing gaps in skills, training, and opportunity.

Cost to attend is $150 for individuals or $125 for members of ORHMA, the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), MRMA, and CareerSource CLM’s Board of Directors. A discounted rate is also available for groups of 10 or more. The conference fee includes breakfast and lunch.
