OCALA, Florida (Nov. 29, 2021) – Rep. Yvonne Hayes Hinson and Ocala City Councilman Ire Bethea, Sr., have partnered with CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion and the College of Central Florida to hold a job fair on Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 2-4 p.m. at CF’s Hampton Center, 1501 W. Silver Springs Blvd., in Ocala.
The Career Connections Job Fair is free and open to all job seekers. Opportunities include a variety of industries and all job levels, including entry-level positions. High school diplomas are not required. Those interested in attending are asked to register ahead of time at bit.ly/ConnectCareers.
“My aim for this event is to give members of the younger generation a legitimate hope for their professional future,” Rep. Hayes Hinson said. “Work creates dignity, and every citizen deserves the chance to work. Our city thrives when we all participate, empower, and work together.”
To date, the following businesses – all with immediate jobs to fill – plan to attend: Central Florida Electric of Ocala, City of Ocala, City of Ocala Water Resources, Encompass Health, Marion County Public Schools (custodial, food services, and transportation departments), Marion County Board of County Commissioners, Ocala Oaks, Visiting Angels, and the World Equestrian Center.
CSCLM’s CEO Rusty Skinner said, “We are so excited to team up with Rep. Hayes Hinson, Councilman Bethea, and CF to bring such outstanding opportunities to the community.”
“We are equally excited to share the word that there are plenty of jobs available,” Skinner continued. “Anyone who wants employment stands a very good chance of getting hired, and we are here to help.”
Those planning to attend are encouraged to dress for success and bring printed copies of their current resume. Anyone who would like professional assistance updating their resume or preparing for the job fair – including prepping for on-the-spot interviews – may receive fee-free services by contacting CareerSource CLM at 800-434-JOBS (5627) or visiting careersourceclm.com.
