OCALA, Fla. (Sept. 8, 2021) – Fall officially arrives this year on Wednesday, Sept. 22, but the day marks more than the start of sweater weather and promise of pumpkin spice latte. It also means CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion is holding the Citrus County Fall Job Fair for anyone interested in finding good, gainful employment.
The job fair takes place from 2-5 p.m. at the College of Central Florida’s Citrus County campus, 3800 S. Lecanto Highway in Lecanto. It is free and open to any job seeker in the Citrus, Levy and Marion counties’ region.
To date, hiring representatives from the following businesses plan to attend: AutoZone Auto Parts, Blackwater Fins Group, Citrus County Board of County Commissioners, Citrus County Sheriff’s Office, City of Crystal River, Family Life Care, Key Training Center, Pecks Old Port Cove, Plantation on Crystal River, Screen America Corporation, and TrueCore Behavioral Solutions.
“This is not only an excellent opportunity for those who live in Citrus County, but we know based on commuter patterns that job seekers will travel to and from the counties in our region for the right job,’ said Dale French, CareerSource CLM’s executive vice president.
Those interested in attending should bring printed copies of their resume, dress professionally, and be prepared for on-the-spot job interviews. Also, masks will be required to be worn for the safety of businesses, job seekers, and staff.
Candidates interested in updating their resume, preparing a 30-second “elevator speech”’ or sharpening interview skills are encouraged to visit one of CareerSource CLM’s career centers for fee-free assistance. The centers are located at 2703 NE 14th St., Ocala; 683 S. Adolph Point, Lecanto; and 2175 NW 11th Dr., Chiefland.
