OCALA, Fla. (June 3, 2021) – More than 30 area businesses are lined up for the CareerSource Citrus Levy Marion Job Fair set for Thursday, June 17 from 2-5 p.m. at the College of Central Florida Klein Conference Center in Ocala.

While CareerSource CLM has held several virtual job fairs in the last year, the event is the first in-person job fair it has hosted since Covid-19 began impacting the region in March 2020.

Those interested in attending may register at bit.ly/2021JOBFAIR or by visiting the calendar of events at careersourceclm.com. There is no charge to participate.

To date, the following businesses with jobs to fill are scheduled to take part: ASEM (Hilton Garden Inn). AutoZone Distribution Center, Brookdale Chambrel Pinecastle, Chick-fil-A Ocala, City of Ocala, Colen Built Development, Dollar Tree/Family Dollar Distribution, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, E-One, Episcopal Children’s Services, Express Employment Ocala, Florida Department of Corrections, Fluid Routing Solutions, Ford/Lincoln Ocala, Heart of Florida Health Center, JR Plastics Corp., Kent Furniture, Marion County Board of County Commissioners, Marion County Public Schools, Marshall’s, Pacific Arches (McDonald’s), Raney’s Inc., R&L Global Logistics/ABCO, Skyline Homes, SunTran, Walgreens, Walmart, Winco Mfg., Winn Dixie, and World Equestrian Center.

“From healthcare to hospitality, retail to construction, manufacturing, logistics and more, these businesses offer opportunities to suit most any job seeker,” said Cory Weaver, CareerSource CLM’s director of operations. “Additionally, several are hiring age 16 and up, which is particularly critical for youth and young adults who don’t know how to get started earning a paycheck but are ready, willing and able to work.”

Until last year when it was canceled due to the pandemic, CareerSource CLM had held annual Youth Job Fairs featuring businesses interested in recruiting younger workers for seasonal, part-time or full-time temporary employment.

“As we’re dipping our toe back into the waters of in-person events, we decided to incorporate aspects of the youth job fair with our job fair for general job seekers,” Weaver said. “With this outstanding response from the business community, we really believe we have something for just about everyone.”

Attendees should bring printed copies of their resume and be prepared for on-the-spot job interviews.

Proper dress will be required and anyone planning to attend the job fair should come dressed to impress – absolutely no flip-flops or casual sandals, t-shirts with profane or obscene language or images, no shorts or jeans with rips or holes, or anything that is too tight, too short or revealing.

Those interested in developing or updating their resume, working on interview skills and/or receiving job fair preparation tips are encouraged to visit one of CareerSource CLM’s career centers located at 2703 NE 14th St., in Ocala; 683 S. Adolph Point, in Lecanto; and 2175 NW 11th Dr., in Chiefland.  All job candidate services are available at no charge.
